Tamar Marine Fishing Report - 12th May 2021 - Tamar Marine: Boating, Fishing & Marine Gear

Tamar Marine Fishing Report – 12th May 2021

A pretty ordinary weekend weather wise has left the fishing report looking a little thin this week.

EAGLEHAWK NECK

Species:  Bluefin Tuna.

As with previous weeks, Eaglehawk Neck is leading the state for fishing action with plenty of Schoolies and the odd Barrel still being caught. The biggest news of the week was that the Halco Laser Pro King Brown has been dethroned as the number 1 Tuna catcher and replaced by the Halco Laser Pro Coral Trout! With the Coral Trout Laser pro even managing to snag a Mako Shark.

WATERHOUSE ISLAND

Species:  King George Whiting, Australian Salmon.

Waterhouse Island was the hot spot of the week with plenty of action on the inside of the island along the North East Coast. Hayabusa Whiting rigs were once again the best choice to nail a feed of Whiting and the classic silver slice retrieved or trolled along the surface of the water all you need for the Salmon.
