Tamar Marine Fishing Report - 15th December 2021 - Tamar Marine: Boating, Fishing & Marine Gear

Tamar Marine Fishing Report – 15th December 2021

LOW HEAD

Species:  Calamari Squid & King George Whiting.

The Calamari are making their presence felt, which had anglers excited over the weekend with more than plenty caught. The Yoshikawa Squid jig in colour ‘Parrot’ doing the most damage.

King George Whiting were also caught around the mouth of the river, using the Hayabusa Whiting rigs.

WOODS LAKE & ARTHURS LAKE

Species: Brown Trout.

Anglers were still having great success on the  Trout. Over the weekend there was plenty of Brown Trout being caught, with Woods Lake and Arthurs Lake being the go to destination. Hardbodies and Tillins Cobras both working well.

BRIDPORT

Species: Flathead, Gummy Shark, Snapper & Calamari Squid.

The North East Coast was proving popular for anglers with many landing mixed bags full, all of well size. Jig Em and Flasher rigs working well on the Flathead, long lines with Squid or fish heads as bait for the Gummies and soft plastics or bait for the Snapper. Calamari was also caught along the coast, with many caught between Bridport and Waterhouse.
