Tamar Marine Fishing Report - 16th June 2021 - Tamar Marine: Boating, Fishing & Marine Gear

Tamar Marine Fishing Report – 16th June 2021

EAST COAST

Species:  Bluefin Tuna.

A quiet weekend on the East Coast with many anglers failing to land or even hook up a Bluefin, with only the odd schoolie caught here and there. Hopefully it was just an off weekend and we haven’t seen the end of the stellar Bluefin run we have been having.

TAMAR RIVER

Species:  King George Whiting.

The King George Whiting is making their presence felt in the Tamar River with some huge fish caught over the weekend. Hayabusa whiting rigs a must have for any angler who’s looking to land a few.

BRIDPORT

Species:  Flathead and Gummy Shark.

The long weekend holiday destination on the North East Coast proving popular with anglers with the weather gods producing some ideal conditions for some bottom fishing. Long Lines set in around 20 metres of water a efficient set and forget option to target some Gummys, and bottom bashing for some Flathead using Jigem Rigs a great way to help pass the time while you wait to pull your longline.
