TAMAR RIVER

As reported last week the rumours of Snapper in the river has been confirmed. Anglers have been pretty secretive as to the exact location they landed the species but you will need freshly caught bait if you plan to target the elusive Tamar River Snapper.

Those who braved the weather this week were well rewarded. With a number of large Squid and Gummy Sharks caught around Stanley and the Islands.

The longer days and close location make the South Esk River a great local fishing location, especially if you want to duck out for a quick fish in the evening.
