Tamar Marine Fishing Report - 22nd July 2020 - Tamar Marine: Boating, Fishing & Marine Gear

Tamar Marine Fishing Report – 22nd July 2020

Rugged weather hampered a lot of Anglers over the weekend but many took advantaged of the calm conditions in the days prior

WEYMOUTH – BRIDPORT

Species: Flathead

If you are after a solid feed of Flathead then the coast between Weymouth and Bridport is worth a trip.

Anglers reported some great sized Flathead along the coast with your standard 3 hook Jig-Em rig working a treat as always.

PORT SORELL – BURNIE

Species: Bluefin Tuna.

Last weeks 120kg Bluefin Tuna off Devonport was certainly the talk of the town.

The record catch is yet to be tested but it wasn’t through lack of trying.

Port Sorell all the way along to Burnie were the hot spots, with reports of Bluefin hooked up but they all busted off before they could be landed.

Bait fish aplenty through Bass Strait and reports of Bluefin all along the Victorian coast, hopefully its only a matter of time before we see some consistent catches along the north coast.
