Tamar Marine Fishing Report - 23rd September 2020 - Tamar Marine: Boating, Fishing & Marine Gear

Tamar Marine Fishing Report – 23rd September 2020

LOW HEAD

Species: Squid – Calamari

Judging by the amount of boats heading down the highway road Friday morning a few people must have got the message that the Squid were on but the weekend weather wasn’t ideal. Those who ventured out were well rewarded with some absolute thumpers caught off the mouth of the river.

Just remember the Squid season on the North Coast is closed from the 1st to 31st of October.

FOUR SPRINGS LAKE

Species: Brown & Rainbow Trout.

Not a lot of information coming our way about the fresh water scene this week. Anglers out at Four Springs Lake seemed to be fairing the best with some good fish landed. Hardbody and Soft plastic lures working the best.

KELSO

Species: King George Whiting.

As mentioned last week there is plenty of Whiting down around the Kelso Flats region. The rain and wind earlier in the week may slow them down a bit. Hayabusa Whiting Rigs designed to do the job perfectly.
