Tamar Marine Fishing Report - 2nd September 2020 - Tamar Marine: Boating, Fishing & Marine Gear

Tamar Marine Fishing Report – 2nd September 2020

LAKE ECHO

Species: Brown Trout.

Located in the centre of the central highlands, Lake Echo is a great alternative to some of the other large lakes. Fishing well in recent weeks for Brown Trout on Cobra lures trolled behind the boat.

LAKE LEAKE

Species: Brown & Rainbow Trout.

You might be sick of hearing about fish being caught out of Lake Leake these past few weeks but it keeps producing some great fish. Soft plastics and Hard Body lures still working the best.

KELSO

Species: Cocky & Blackback Salmon

Great to eat, fun to catch and in great numbers around the Kelso area. Casting and retrieving the old standard Silver Wobbler will work a treat.

TAMAR HEADS

Species: Squid

A lot of questions lately regarding if the Squid have started to move into the river and the answer is not quite, but out around Two Mile Reef anglers have landed a few but they are getting closer. Just a friendly reminder that the Squid season on the North Coast is closed from 1st – 31st of October.
