Tamar Marine Fishing Report - 30th December 2020 - Tamar Marine: Boating, Fishing & Marine Gear

Tamar Marine Fishing Report – 30th December 2020

EAST COAST

Species:  Albacore and Bluefin Tuna, Mako Sharks, Kingfish and Crayfish

The East Coast was the place to be over the Christmas weekend, with many venturing down to holiday homes and shacks to enjoy the break.

Anglers who headed off shore were rewarded with a smorgasbord of fishing options to choose from.

We had reports of Albacore and Bluefin Tuna in all the hotspots up and down the coast.

Reports of Mako Sharks being caught off St Helens.

And reports of Kingfish turning up in anglers berley trails when they were trying to attract Mako Sharks.

Crayfish as well popular around the coast, making for some great Christmas lunches.

NORTH WEST

Species:  Snapper.

Not be to out done by the East Coast the North West coast of Tasmania was producing some great Snapper over the past week. Fresh baits always the key with Snapper.

WATERHOUSE

Species:  Australian Salmon

Waterhouse was once again a hive of angling activity with schools of Australian Salmon running through the area. Spinning basic silver metal lures from the shore proving effective.
