Tamar Marine Fishing Report - 31st March 2021 - Tamar Marine: Boating, Fishing & Marine Gear

Tamar Marine Fishing Report – 31st March 2021

Easter weekend is shaping up to be a great weekend on the water (weather permitting) with plenty of fish being caught around the state.

EAGLEHAWK NECK

Species:  Bluefin and Yellowfin Tuna.

It was the battle of the Tuna over the weekend at Eaglehawk Neck with both Bluefin and Yellowfin landed in the area. The Halco Laser Pro once again taking up the mantle as the number 1 Tuna lure.

ST HELENS

Species:  Albacore Tuna.

For those further up the coast, then St Helens is the place to go to get your Tuna fix with plenty of Albacore caught out off the shelf over the weekend.

COLES BAY

Species:  Striped Trumpeter.

Striped Trumpeter fishing well out of Coles Bay over the weekend, with anglers opting to pull up and fish the bottom instead of trolling around.

DERWENT RIVER

Species:  Bream.

The 3rd and final round of the 2021 Tasmanian Bream classic was held on the weekend with most anglers catching their bag. Congratulations to all involved on another great season of tournament angling in the state.
