EAST COAST
Species: Striped Trumpeter & Crayfish.
The Striped Trumpeter were fishing well off the East Coast over the weekend with anglers having great success using both jigs and rigs.
The East Coast Crayfish Rebuilding Zone also opened on the weekend. Many anglers took the time to set their pots in hope of getting the first of many Crays for the season.
GREAT LAKE & ARTHURS LAKE
Species: Brown & Rainbow Trout.
The Light Tackle Tournaments Tasmanian Trout Classic was held over the weekend. A two day event with the first day being held on Great Lake on Saturday, which featured some less than ideal fishing conditions. The winning anglers used the win to their advantage fishing the shore line the wind was blowing on to.
Arthurs Lake was the location of the second day and with the weather conditions easing anglers enjoyed more success. As this was a Light Tackle Tournament all fish were caught on Soft Plastics or Hard Body Lures.
BRIDPORT
Species: Snapper.
Bridport was once again Snapper central, with anglers once again catching more than enough. Fresh bait working well, as well as many having success on soft plastic lures.
